Why PLA?
So i mostly 3D print with PLA filament. It’s very easy to print and doesn’t smell when it’s melting. What i also like about PLA is that it can be bought in many bright colors. Sometimes i print with PETG when a 3D print needs to be stronger, but the colors of PETG are more glossy and a little transparent. The PLA i mostly use is PolyTerra™ PLA, together with eSun eSilk PLA for creating nice looking shiny objects.
What i hate
I personally don’t like ABS, it often warps, needs high print temperatures and the bad smelling fumes are toxic.
Where do i buy my filament?
I use filament from FelixPrinters, 123-3D and 3DJake, which are Dutch suppliers. I also got two spools for free by PolyMaker. I was asked to test their PolyTerra™ PLA filament and i really liked it. The filament was not brittle, but very tough. It’s also not expensive. You can watch my longer review video about this filament here. I also created a short video about it.
